TEEANA TAWHITI WATSON

Kia Ora e te whānau

This year I will be attending Wellington tattoo convention alongside my mum and as part of may 15 tattoo.

After admiring my mum’s work over the last ten years, tattooing is also a path I aim to follow in. My passion for art began at school and over recent years have taken a lot of interest and inspiration through the art of tattooing. I am very blessed to have started my mentor-ship, learning under may 15 tattoo for the last two years and am very lucky to be guided by such a talented and passionate artist.

I am looking forward to the experience and look forward to seeing everyone there.

Ngā mihi,

Teeana Tawhiti-Watson

LORNA TAWHITI

NGAI TE RANGI / TAINUI

Lorna lives and works in beautiful Otaki, Kapiti Coast, New Zealand. She loves designing tattoos that incorporate pattern and intricate line work in her preferred pallette of black and grey.

Lorna was born in Auckland, NZ and spent 17 years in Western Australia from the age of seven. Always an 'artist-in-training', Lorna has spent 30+ years developing her artistic and creative style, to which she claims is "ongoing and evolving constantly".

Lorna is currently exploring the possibilities of digital art and focussing on images of modern Maori women and their spirit.

Lorna did her art training in Australia and her teacher training in New Zealand some years later. Lorna now combines the benefits of both to understand what is important when it comes to her clients' tattoo ideas. She also gives thanks to a few important people that have mentored and inspired her to take this journey, her two children, her family -in particular her parents & two brothers, her supportive husband and another local tattoo artist.
